About Expo City Dubai

The Nexus, Expo City Dubai
A beautiful contemporary space just a stone’s throw from the iconic Al Wasl Plaza, the Nexus has hosted more than 200 events, including during COP28 and Expo 2020 Dubai. The Nexus was also the venue of the 2024 and 2025 editions of the Cities in Action Forum, an annual meeting of urban visionaries in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and beyond. With a ready-made platform for conferences, panel sessions and workshops, the Nexus enables intimate dialogues and value-led collaborations and partnerships.
Getting to Expo City Dubai
Discover our connected city
Expo City Dubai is located in the south of the emirate, just 30 minutes from downtown Dubai and 15 minutes from Dubai Marina. The City is easily accessible by a network of highways and has its own dedicated metro station, connecting riders to more than 60 stops across Dubai.
We are also within an hour’s drive of four major international airports: Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi, Dubai International Airport, Al Maktoum International Airport and Sharjah International Airport. The neighbouring Al Maktoum International Airport is set to become the largest in the world and the future home of Emirates Airline.
Expo City is also just a short distance from Jebel Ali Port, a shipping gateway to the world and an integral part of the Dubai Logistics Corridor.
By Metro
The fastest and most sustainable way to travel to Expo City Dubai. The Dubai Metro Red Line takes you from various locations in the city to the Expo 2020 station, situated in the heart of Expo City Dubai and right on the doorstep of Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC).
By Car
If you’re driving to Expo City Dubai, you can find us on Expo Road (E77), off Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan al Nahyan Street (D54). Follow the road signs for Opportunity and Sustainability Parking, where you’ll find 2,000 parking spaces, including spaces for people of determination and electric vehicle.

By taxi
Taxis and car hires are available across Dubai. Taxis can be booked by phone, but the simplest way is to download the Careem, Uber or S’hail apps. Through the Careem* app you can also book Hala Taxi, which is Dubai’s most affordable taxi. If you are flying into Dubai International Airport, you can find official taxi pick-up locations outside Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
The easiest way to reach the Nexus by Taxi is to set Cheval Maison Expo City as your drop-off location.
